Prairie Wind Fiber Arts and Beads announces their first annual staff show July 12th, 2012.

Rhonda Holmquist, Dianne Baldwin and Heidi Liles will display and sell their fiber art and jewelry designs from 5-8pm during Art Design & Dine. The artists will be on hand to answer questions about their work and take orders for custom designs.

Rhonda Holmquist has been working with fiber since she was old enough to hold a crochet hook in her hand. About fifteen years ago she and her husband, Dave, bought their first alpacas and a love of felting was born. Rhonda combines her love of knitting and crocheting with felting and is known for her beautiful hats and whimsical Christmas ornaments and stockings. She is a member of the Duck Barn Artists and co-owner of Prairie Wind Fiber Arts and Beads in Cheyenne.

Dianne Baldwin grew up surrounded by artists and craftspeople and can’t remember a time when she wasn’t creating with her hands. She enjoys jewelry making and book arts because they bring together the materials and techniques she loves best. After teaching elementary and junior high school art in the Cheyenne public schools, she left to fulfill her dream of opening a shop that encourages other people to enjoy art and creativity. She is a co-owner of Prairie Wind Fiber Arts and Beads in Cheyenne, and teaches art part time.

Heidi Liles was born and raised in Fort Collins and earned a marketing degree from Colorado State University. She came to Cheyenne as an Air Force wife and started making jewelry. Heidi creates wonderful strung and wire wrapped jewelry with a strong sense of current fashion. Her color palette ranges from strong, bright colors and funky shapes to soft, feminine pastels.
